“Expanding the learning of horses and humans so that the resulting relationship is mutually beneficial.”
This mission statement has been at the core of Jenny’s philosophy since she was 16 years old and began training horses professionally. By combining elements of psychology, nervous system regulation, and horsemanship, she developed lesson programs and clinics centered on Whole Body Communication. This approach recognizes that communication isn't just a couple of physical cues—it is an active dialogue between the entire bodies, minds, and nervous systems of both horse and human.
Dr. Jenny Norton Schamber is an equine professional, educator, counselor, and lifelong horsewoman with a passion for helping people discover confidence, connection, and healing through their relationship with horses.
Her work brings together her love of horses, education, personal growth, and faith in God the Creator of all. Through her work at Rope This Ranch, Jenny creates opportunities for people of all ages and experience levels to learn horsemanship, develop confidence, build meaningful relationships with horses, and experience the joy of being part of a supportive community.
Jenny believes that working with horses is about far more than learning to ride. It is about communication, trust, patience, self-awareness, and learning to listen—to the horse and to yourself. Her approach emphasizes whole-body communication, emotional awareness, liberty work, a holistic view of horse training, and developing a partnership in which both horse and human can grow.
As an educator and counselor with a PhD in Psychology, Jenny also brings a unique understanding of the human side of the horse-human relationship. She is passionate about creating spaces where people feel seen, challenged, encouraged, and capable of becoming more than they thought they could be.
Whether she is teaching horsemanship, working with a horse, mentoring others, organizing an event, speaking at a clinic, or simply spending time at the ranch, Jenny's goal remains the same: to help people find greater connection with their horses or each other, in addition to finding confidence, purpose, and a little more joy along the way.
For Jenny, horses aren't simply a passion—they are teachers, partners, and a powerful way to connect people with themselves, with others, and with something bigger than themselves.
A lifetime of experience providing diverse intersections into the horse world.
Jenny is available for equine clinics, speaking engagements, educational programs, advertising and promotional services, counseling services, and creative collaborations. Whether you're looking for someone to train, teach, speak, create, collaborate, or help turn an idea into reality, Jenny would love to hear from you.
